Ingredients

  • 4 apples (peeled and sliced)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon flour

For the crust : 

  • 2 pie crusts (top and bottom)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (cut into small pieces)

Optional :

  • Egg wash for golden crust
  • Caramel sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and flour.
  3. Place one pie crust into a pie dish.
  4. Add the apple filling evenly into the crust.
  5. Place small pieces of butter over the apples.
  6. Cover with the second pie crust and seal the edges.
  7. Cut small slits on top of the crust to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the crust becomes golden brown.
  9. Let the pie cool slightly before slicing and serving.
